62.0383N,92.7595W=0A=0AApproaching Whale Cove now and we have been able to keep a good consistent pace of 10 nautical miles a day. Having to put up with a layer of thick white cloud above us has probably been the hardest part – it has been constant the last few days and it makes seeing obstacles in the ice extremely hard to see and also navigation is harder because of reduced visibility. But still, progress is good. =0A=0AIt has been interesting meeting local Inuit who are travelling between communities along the coast – selling animals they have hunted and also taking part in dog sledding and skidoo races. Big prizes of up to $10,000 on offer – would be great fun to watch… And even greater fun to take part!!!
